Pick-up from your hotel in Arusha (or airport) at 6:00 AM. Drive towards Serengeti National Park (~6-7 hours), passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Optional stop at Olduvai Gorge (extra cost) to explore early human history.
Enter Serengeti and enjoy your first game drive. Spot lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and more. Witness the vast plains and, if lucky, part of the Great Migration.
Arrive at your lodge/tented camp. Dinner and overnight stay in Serengeti.
Sunrise game drive (best time for predators hunting). Spot lions, leopards, and hyenas in action. Breakfast in the bush or at the camp. More game viewing as you exit Serengeti. Picnic lunch on the way to Ngorongoro (~3-4 hours drive).
Arrive at the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Dinner and overnight stay near the crater rim.
Descend into Ngorongoro Crater (~600m deep). Game drive in the world’s largest unbroken volcanic caldera. Look for rhinos, elephants, buffaloes, lions, and hippos. Visit Lake Magadi (flamingos & hippos).Continue game viewing until lunchtime. Ascend the crater and start the return journey. Lunch en route back to Arusha (~4 hours drive).

Start your final day early with breakfast before descending more than 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, a remarkable geological wonder often celebrated as one of the world’s natural marvels. As midday arrives, pause for lunch at the crater floor, surrounded by unparalleled wildlife encounters. Expect to see great bull elephants, the critically important population of black rhinos, and large herds of grazing herbivores such as wildebeest and zebras. Predators like lions and hyenas, alongside a multitude of other species, thrive in this ecosystem. With around 400 bird species recorded here, the crater’s avifauna is equally remarkable.
Following your crater exploration, begin the return trip to Arusha or head directly to the airport, concluding your remarkable safari experience.
After an early leisurely breakfast, we descend into the Ngorongoro Crater – the world’s giant unbroken volcanic caldera. Search for rhinos, lions, leopards, and many more. The lunch will be set at a picnic site overlooking a hippo pool. After lunch, we ascend the crater rim and start the 5-hour drive to Arusha. It’s an adventure as we pass through coffee and banana farms and beautiful villages to drop you at the Arusha Coffee Lodge to stay overnight. The next day, you’ll be taken to the airport for your scheduled flight back home.
